Don’t Make It A Habit
One morning I was tending my garden when my neighbour came by to strike a conversation. After talking about plants, she suddenly asked if I have a non-stick frying pan.
When I replied yes, she asked if she could borrow it to fry some chinese pancakes. Coming from her was surprising because if you cooked so often (in fact she cooked 3 meals a day) you would surely own one. Moreover, such pans are so cheap these days. I hesitated and told her that the non stick coating on my pan was pealing off and not safe to use which was partly true. Actually I didn?t want to make it a habit. The last time she borrowed 2 eggs and now the pan??..wonder what next.
I don?t have the habit of borrowing things from people neither do I like to lend things too. Of course some things like books can be lent but definitely not daily utilities, groceries and kitchen utensils!
We should all learn to plan, manage and budget to have what we need.
After thought : probably should start a rental service to make the most out of these people. ![]()

How true indeed.
